FORT CAVAZOS GARRISON COMMANDER TO VISIT ROCKDALE, TEXAS

Col. Chad Foster to Speak on Leadership

(April 19, 2023) ROCKDALE, Texas –  On Thursday, May 18, 2023, Colonel Chad Foster, garrison commander at Fort Cavazos in Killeen, Texas, will be coming to the Patterson Center in Rockdale, to talk about Leadership.  The Leadership Rockdale program, working with the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and in partnership with the City of Rockdale and Rockdale MDD are the event sponsors.

“The Rockdale region has a tremendous asset in Ft. Cavazos,” explained RMDD Economic Development Director Jim Gibson.  “The US Army is a globally recognized expert in leadership and inter-personal relations.  We are honored that Col. Foster has agreed to share his expertise in this field with us.”

Col. Foster graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1998.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in European History and two Masters Degrees, from the Naval College of Command and Staff and the National War College.  He is a graduate of the Armor Officer Basic and Career Courses, the Scout Platoon Leader’s Course, and the Cavalry Leader’s Course.

“We would like this to be an event where anyone aspiring to be a leader in their organization, community, or business can attend,” Gibson said.
